Company Bug – Online Company Formations

forming a limited company

Our online company formations service is a fast and reliable way to getting your new company up and running, and registered with Companies House.

The service costs £75 + VAT.

You can expect your new company to be successfully incorporated within 3-4 hours (this can vary if Companies House is very busy).

To get started, simply follow the steps below:

1. Is your company name available?

Please enter your company name below and click ‘Go’ to check for availability. You should add ‘Limited’ or ‘PLC’ as appropriate.

After you hit ‘Go’, please wait a few seconds while the system performs a name search.

If your name is available, you can proceed to the checkout right away. Confirm your selection, and click on ‘Register’

You will receive an email stating that you’ve made the purchase, and how to continue with your formation.

2. Complete your registration details online

Before your company is formally registered, you will need to provide the registration agent with a number of details related to the company itself, and its personnel.

You will need the following details to hand:

  • The company’s proposed registered address (this must be a ‘real’ address, not a P.O. box).
  • Names and addresses of all company directors, and company secretary (if you want to use one. It’s not a mandatory requirement).
  • Names and addresses of all shareholders, and how the shares are split between them.

Log on to the registration agent link contained in your confirmation email, and follow the instructions. If you get stuck, online help is available.

Once you have completed the pre-registration questionnaire, your details will be submitted to Companies House

You will receive another email to confirm your application, and a further email when your company has been successfully formed.

You will receive your company’s Memorandum and Articles of Association via email (the former simply states the intention of the subscribers to form a company, and the Articles set out how the company will be run – like a ‘rule book’).

Your Certificate of Incorporation will also be sent to you via email, once Companies House has performed checks on your application. This can take 3-4 hours during the working week.

In the days following your successful formation, you will also receive a hard-copy of the Certificate (and any other paperwork) in the post.

3. What happens next?

Once you have formed your limited company, you may wish to make changes to your company details. You may wish to change the details of the company directors, the registered address, or the share capital.

To make any changes, simply log on to the registration agent system again and follow the instructions.
